Seamless syncing with Apple Health

iOS users can now automatically sync activities tracked on Apple Workouts. That means all your Apple Watch, Apple Fitness+ or other third party workouts on Apple Health will upload to Runkeeper, keeping all your data up to date.

iPhone users, you can now import activities directly from Apple Health into Runkeeper.

We’ve made it even easier for you to track and sync your activities to Runkeeper by updating our connection with Apple Health. You can now import activities from Apple Health (automatically or manually) that you might have tracked with other devices or apps directly into Runkeeper.

What this means is that you can now record activities on your Apple Watch’s Workout app, and have them sync over to Runkeeper. You can also have activities that you track with other third-party apps (like Peloton or Zwift) imported into Runkeeper (as long as you have those apps connected to Apple Health).

Enable Workout Sync

We want to give you the control over what data is synced to and from Apple Health, so we’ve made it possible for you to toggle Health Sync (meaning the data that you want to send to Apple Health from Runkeeper) and Workout Sync (the data that you want to import from Apple Health to Runkeeper) independently.

Click here for more details on how to enable these.

Automatic and Manual Imports

If you do enable the Workout Sync, you’ll have the option to either automatically import any new activities from Apple Health once they’re available (activities from the past 30 days will be automatically imported on the first sync), or to manually select which ones you want to import (you’ll be able to select from all activities recorded within the past 30 days).
