You may have heard the buzz already, but our amazing ambassador Simon is running the New York City Marathon on November 2. But first, he decided to stop in Boston to see his friends at Runkeeper—and then run all the way from Boston to New York!

Ever since he lost his sight at the age of 17, Simon has been using technology to push his limits, which includes lots of incredible running feats. We’ll be live tracking this adventure at bostontonyc.runkeeper.com, so be sure to check in frequently from October 23 to October 31st as he pounds the pavement and rests up at a different Airbnb home each night. As if this weren’t enough, Simon is also raising money for the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind—we’d love for you to donate to his cause.

Support Simon As He Runs from Boston to New York

We had a great sendoff event for him the night before he left, at Greater Boston Running Company store in Newton, who also helped get Simon and his crew outfitted with some awesome gear for the trip. But we’ve still got to cheer him strong to the finish line! New Yorkers, we’ve put together a big receiving party for Simon in Central Park on 10/31. Be sure to RSVP here and join us!

Update – 10/27

Simon has just completed over 50% of his journey from Boston to New York!! From the rainy beginning in Boston, through Rhode Island and now into the heart of Connecticut, he’s still going strong! He’s met so many amazing people along the way, and he’s looking forward to meeting many more. Check out a few pictures from his journey so far below, and if you’re in New York City this Friday, be sure to join us to welcome him in!
