Let’s get the whole world running! Join us–and the entire Runkeeper community–in tracking a 5K on Saturday, July 15 or Sunday, July 16. To complete this Challenge, run or walk 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) anywhere in the world.
It’s our biggest event of the year and your chance to run alongside 182 other countries. Last time, over 250,000 people joined. 2,750 ran their first 5K while 5,325 others hit a personal record. Now it’s your turn! We created a new results board on the Global 5K website so you can check your stats and ranking right after you complete the race.
REWARDS
All Challenge finishers will be entered for a chance to win a $50 credit for the Runkeeper Store. The top 5 male and top 5 female finishers will receive a $100 credit for the Runkeeper Store, plus 1 free year of Runkeeper Go.
In addition to becoming a part of the global running community, you can also print a free custom race bib and shop the official race shirt. You’ll find info about all this and more on the Global 5K website: global5k.com.
*Running, walking, and wheelchair activities are eligible towards completion.
**GPS and Stopwatch Mode activities are eligible towards completion.

This is a virtual race, which means you can run anywhere in the world–Boston to Bangkok, Stockholm to San Francisco–on either Saturday, July 15 or Sunday, July 16. Of course, you can run on both days if you want! We’ll use your fastest average pace for the final Global 5K results board.
