We’re more than halfway through the year–have you taken a moment to slow down yet? It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle, but that can cause burnout. That’s why we want you to enjoy the slower-paced moments in life and in your workouts.

Join the Slow and Steady Challenge and let’s take it down a notch in between those harder workouts.

This is a moment to decompress. We’re not asking you to give up hard work all month! We just want to remind you that taking it easy can be productive–even if you’re training for a race (not to mention it can help prevent injury). Track 5K per week* to complete this challenge.


Consider this challenge a break from trying to pull a PR. Your legs and feet will thank you!

*Running, walking, cycling, hiking, and wheelchair activities are eligible for this challenge. GPS and Stopwatch Mode activities are eligible for this challenge. Tracking 20 total kilometers (12.4 miles) of eligible activity between August 1 and August 31 will complete this challenge.

One of the biggest mistakes runners make when training is doing their easy and long runs too fast. Tip: Invite a friend on your next run. If you’re engaged in conversation, you’ll naturally run at a slower pace.
