We live at the foot of the "Kakamigahara Alps", but until today we'd never ventured up them. This morning, my wife saw a TV program about Mount Fuji and was suddenly inspired to climb a mountain. We took (carried) our 4-year-old son with us and hiked to the top of the nearest peak.
