Too cold to run outside. This is the second time I have ever run 6 miles continuously. It has taken me about 3 years of running to get to this point! Breathing good; legs tire last mile.

Nancy Wilcox  Great! I am doing the same--increasing miles. I am getting up before work to do 2 miles and try to do more after work on some days. I have never done a half marathon - not yet. How did the training go for you for the 30 min. 5K?

Nancy Wilcox  Hey, Adelle: I was thinking of 10K or 1/2 marathon. But I did not reach my 5K goal time. I did the 5K in 38 min., not 30 min. I have upped my mileage recently--trying to do 4 - 6 mi. 4 days per week. How about you?

Back to work this week and so hectic I did not run on any weekdays - 5 days. Felt bad about it; ran today at gym. Followed guidelines for Day 29 but I only came up with 4.5 miles after my run. Then I noticed I should have scrolled down--oops! Two more .5 run and .25 walk intervals! I'll do it again right sometime.

Nancy Wilcox Completed a 4.05 mi. running activity
Did these intervals in the gym where it is easier to keep track of time and distance and is cooler. Did the 10 intervals at 6.1 mph (5K in 30 min. pace) and walked during the other 10 intervals. This is the hardest workout for me, mainly because the pace is fast for me. I can do it for .25 miles, but I am really tired by the 8th repeat. And this is the pace I must run to finish a 5K in 30 minutes! I don't know how I will get there, but will stay with the program. I am behind a few workouts and am only running about 10 miles per week.

Did the training and added 4 more intervals, but it was so hot I had to take 2-min. walk breaks on these extra ones. Took a Zumba class yesterday (yikes!) and rode the recumbent bike at the gym for 20 min.
