Adelle Daniels  Awesome! You are a machine! I'll definately check out your blog. I really enjoy reading your run comments! They help keep me motivated :). I just got going again. Signed up for a half in late Feb and then another in May. I really just want to be more consistent and "enjoy" my running each time. Balance in life, right? :) I look forward to watching your progress.

Felt strong. My calves got a bit tight after mile 2 and stayed that way through mile 7, but they aren't pumped, so I should be fine. The weather was GLORIOUS! I could get used to 71F.

This was the first long run of my ultra training. I took things very slow (my heart rate stayed at ~85% of max (avg 157 bpm). I didn't stop or eat or drink during the run; felt good throughout. Before and after the run and had two direct fuel bites from the Thrive Diet book. I was particularly concerned because this was the first long run in my Merrell Trail Gloves (zero drop and minimal foot protection); they performed swimmingly.
