Pieter Van Impe Completed a 14.35 km. cycling activity
Already ran this morning before work so didn't have to train this evening. But if the weather is this good after such a long long loooong time of cold & wet, I couldn't resist taking my baby out for a spin. Didn't push it, tried to keep my HR around 140 (and succeeded!!!!) and just enjoyed the sights & the evening sun.

Pre-breakfast 3K - have been off the protein diet for 2 days now and wanted to see how my body reacted. Avg HR still 2bpm to high but already a lot better :-) Have my doubts about it being correct tho since losing weight = HR band dropping while running so had to adjust it on the run. Sorry if I flashed my white belly at anyone :p Felt really good, a lot better then when on the protein diet!

During marathon training there are certain days that you can't run, to let your body recover, but you're allowed (or even advised) to do any other type of sports (that isn't running or running related). Since I'm still dabbling with the idea of doing a few triathlons this summer all the extra bike & swim training is most welcome. Had a nice ride tonight, although my arms & legs are littered with bugs :p Luckily none got between my teeth :-) Managed to keep my HR more or less under control (there where some long/steep/both hills on which I couldn't keep my HR below 150.

W1D1 - Amsterdam mrthn - 4K Today I officially started training for the Amsterdam Marathon. I'm glad I'm finally able to run again after all these months of injury bullcrap. It was painful to get passed by people at a pace I could have easily ran last year. But let's look at it from the bright side : I call it extra motivation :-) Shouldn't get my avg hart rate above 150, today I failed miserably... The local track consists of 500m uphill & 500m downhill. The uphill makes my HR jump into the 160's :-( Another thing to add to my "extra motivation" list :-) Oh and the weather sucked!!!! Warm & humid, exactly what I hate most! But, but, but, it felt soooooo good to run again :-)
