Short ride. Fell off the bike when I encountered algae on the park connector. Scraped my knee. Not too bad. A punctured tyre stopped the ride shortly after. Actually, the puncture might have been the cause of my fall. I started noticing the instability on the bike's rear end after the accident. I will be back, next time on road. The park connector isn't well maintained.

Holy moley! Kudos for powering through the wall. :)
Must've been a leeetle annoying riding behind rollerbladers and newb cyclists!

Heh, don't think it was the wall, just the heat getting to me. A little annoying and somewhat dangerous. Surprised I didn't see or get into any accidents. My friend did though, even caught one or two on his videocam.

Completed a 8.17 km. walking activity.
Completed a 2.97 km. running activity.
Hmm... slower than the 13 July run using the same route, despite walking less today. Managed to jog until just past 2km before the dreaded shin splints caused to much pain for me to continue jogging. Ran the last few hundred metres or so.
lyddie
Good distance though. :) I get "bad run"s too.

Thanks for the encouragement! Put in two routes. Much easier to compare similar runs with the routes.

Completed a 33.40 km. cycling activity.
Pengerang bike trip. Hard going on a rented bike. Late morning start and oppressive heat did not help. Actual distance is closer to 40km as I forgot to resume the activity between lunch and a stop to fix a puncture (the third of the day).

That's crazy! :)) Fantastic job. :P

Completed a 9.16 km. walking activity.
Morning walk along the Southern Ridges with friends. Breaks at Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Mount Faber added up to almost 45 minutes, so we could have finished around 9.30 a.m. or so.
Completed a 3.88 km. running activity.
With Wynnie. Jogged the first two km, then walked the rest of the way as the shin splints got to me. Hmmm... first time I've seen a big difference between jogging and running pace.
lyddie
Not bad at all! :)) Jogging pace getting faster too. ;)
WIth the shin splints, have you tried rolling your calves out on foam rollers? (the same ones you use for your ITBs).
Use to get shin splints really badly before I started "rolling them out" after each run and during the week. :)

Sounds weird but if you don't have a foam roller at home, a rolling pin works -- but only for the calves. ;p

Fair effort - That's some walk! :))
Refuelled with delish food after that effort? :)

Yup, we did!
Wynnie and I do this walk fairly regularly. She was aching the day after, and she blamed my longer stride. =P

LOL. Rightly so! I know all about long stride! I blame Ben ALL the time. *weg*

Oh.. and you have to go into individual activities to change privacy settings. ;p
Route on the 7th and 11th should be viewable now (3.28k and 4.11k). Can't be bothered unticking the rest. *weg*

Completed a 3.89 km. running activity.
My jogging and walking speeds are so similar, I can't tell for sure when I was walking. Probably between 1.4km to 2km, 2.6km to 3km and 3.6km onward.
lyddie
Not bad, not bad at all! :)
Slow and steady good way to start.
