I stuck pretty closely to my run/walk plan, and ended up pulling away a little from the pace group - I knew I could do the first 10mi in about a 12:15 pace, so I just had to keep it going for the last 5K. The home stretch was deceptively long, but I managed to find enough to jog through the last half mile and over the line - gun time was a bit over 2:47, and my chip time ended up as 2:42 flat. Considering my time on the 14mi long run was about 2:53, I was stoked to knock 11mins off my time.

An early start this morning to get everyone organised for an 8am race, just as well we arrived a bit early with all the traffic! I had no idea this one was so popular - easily the busiest race I've done so far, as well as the hardest ... OMG those hills!! Thankfully the last section was downhill, being able to stride out a little towards the finish helped make up for those uphill sections ;-) The kids had fun 'competing' in the Cub Run, and were both very proud of their participation ribbons - we stayed a while after the race to wander around the Zoo, and had a great time even with the intermittent downpours. A great way to spend a day during a long weekend!

The idea being that you'll be able to quickly identify which days you regularly exercise on and which days you need to workout on. ** Thank you to everyone who is using the application, I originally wrote it as a proof of concept.
